现主要研究方向为线粒体自由基相关的天然产物抗氧化机理与衰老和肿瘤关系研究。

理论方面重点从线粒体内膜解偶联蛋白表达调控角度探讨自由基与衰老、寿命及肿瘤的关系，实践方面主要从中药天然产物对端粒长度、端粒酶活性、细胞分化、血管生成以及细胞凋亡等方面的影响研究和开发天然产物的生物学活性。
